When we got started, being a new company, we wanted to come in with the hottest new piece of gear on the market and the DiGiCo D5 was the new badass console on the block. The D5 epitomized what the whole digital desk concept was about. We established the company with the D5, so it made sense that when they came out with the SD8 a smaller, more affordable digital desk we should move on to that as well.
Howard Jones - Digital Console Rental

Starting on it in Europe and the UK worked out very well. I was able to go to the DiGiCo premises and spend some time with Tim Shaxson and Roger Wood, who got me up to speed really quickly. I was really impressed with the flexibility and ease of setup. Once I got on to it, I realised the decision was a no brainer.
Craig Brittain - Monitor Engineer Michael Buble

This is gonna sound silly, but I am in love with the touch recognition on the faders. There has been a time or two when a fader has gotten bumped by a radio or something and it would have been quite a noticeable mistake had it not been for the touch sensitive fader recognizing it as not being an intended movement and therefore not registering the movement. I also love the ability to move individual channels on the fly without interrupting the audio.
Daniel Pelaez - Head of Sound Ringling Bros. & Barnum & Bailey Circus

The DiGiCo consoles work just like I wanted them to. They get a lot of use, but they do not glitch or fall over. They are able to do everything we want and more. And, in addition, we know that they are a sound long-term investment.
Pete Charlton - FOH Engineer - Kingsgate Community Church
