Job Summary
To work on continuous improvement activities throughout our process. Working with suppliers to improve the quality and consistency of received components. To work alongside the Production team to ensure manufactured product is of a consistently high-quality standard.
Key Duties
1. Final QA inspection of product, as well as in process inspection.
2. Provide hands-on, first line support to the Production team and address quality and technical queries as they arise.
3. Enter and analyse data on the Epicor ERP database.
4. Investigate and resolving issues causing production defects by process improvements. Root cause analysis and 8D reports.
5. Liaise with internal departments and provide feedback directly to operators.
6. Drive quality and process improvements in order to reduce production defects.
7. Conduct Quality audits and advise on process improvements / Non conformances
8. Produce reports and provide them to the Quality Supervisor.
9. To work within the operations team on general engineering duties
10. To produce QA documentation
11. To liaise and visit suppliers as necessary on quality issues
12. To improve manufacturing processes for assembly, test, materials handling
13. To support lean manufacturing techniques throughout the organisation
14. Any other task commensurate with this role
Qualifications
• Good Educational background and qualifications – Essential
• Engineering HNC/HND – Desirable
Experience
• Working in quality for minimum 3 years – Essential
• Worked within the electronics / metalwork industry – Essential
• Audio industry exposure – Essential
• Knowledge of IPC standards – Essential
• Knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards – Essential

• Excellent eyesight to complete visual inspection – Essential
• Able to prioritise their workload – Essential
