Washington D.C.’s The Anthem and 9:30 Club Each Double Up with DiGiCo

WASHINGTON, D.C. – August 2024 – The Anthem opened in 2017 with a mission: bring a purpose-built, mid-sized music venue—able to host arena-level artists that want a smaller, more intimate space in which to connect with fans, but that can still hold plenty of them—to the nation’s capital. The 57,000-square-foot, $60-million venue accommodating 2,500 to 6,000 patrons for as many as two shows a night needed top-tier technology from day one, and they found that in a pair of DiGiCo SD12 consoles, which served the venue …

Charlie Dale has been with the band since meeting them at his day job, mixing sound at Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club. The band had arrived without an engineer, so he jumped in, sparking a relationship that would stand the test of time and continue for over 15 years. The choice to tour a DiGiCo SD10 was a slightly selfish one. Even though the tour was almost exclusively theatres and intimate venues, Dale chose the SD10 so he could have his entire mix on one surface.

“It’s nice having a DiGiCo with me, partly because I know the con …

James Thompson tries Quantum 225 for T&B Events

T&B Events are a production company on the UK’s South Coast specialising in live events and during the summer they are kept very busy with festivals. Owned by Ben Wood and Thomas Hands, the company has been facilitating large-scale live events for 10 years. The team at T&B have worked with Thompson on several occasions over the years, but this time was his first with a DiGiCo.

“I’m a musician first, I’ve always been involved in music. In about 2010, I went over to the dark side,” Thompson jokes. “I started …
